In June 2019 the British Government announced that the May Day Holiday 2020, traditionally held on the first Monday in May, would be moved to Friday 8th May 2020.  The special reason for this unusual change in calendar dates is to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.  Victory in Europe Day marks the day towards the end of World War II when fighting against Nazi Germany came to an end in Europe.  The holiday will form part of a three day weekend of commemorative events.

This change in holidays is reflected on our 2020 diaries and calendars but not our School Year / Academic diaries dated August 2019 - August 2020.  Unfortunately they had all ready been printed and were on sale before this change was announced, rather late, less than a year in advance.  Do remember to check your school's calendars to make sure you are up to date with the changes.
